The Big Horn Motel in Buffalo, WY has been in this same location since the late 30's. After multiple additions and upgrades, we are still in business maintaining the Wyoming Hospitality guests have loved since then. The Schoonover family were born and raised in the great state of Wyoming and have proudly owned and operated the motel since 2003.

Our Big Horn Motel is a family run motel located just one block North of Historic Downtown Buffalo, Wyoming. Our motel is a quirky, quaint, convenient little place that strives to evoke what Wyoming hospitality is all about. We have 20 guest rooms all containing private bathrooms and all with exterior entrances. We offer a variety of ground, garden level, pet friendly and non-smoking rooms. We have upgraded from the humble "Motor Lodge" of the 30's, so everything you could need in a restful evening are right here at an affordable price. Our rooms include free WI-FI, expanded cable TV, microwaves, refrigerators, coffee, hairdryers and irons on request.
Although we at the Big Horn Motel don't offer a pool, exercise rooms or continental breakfast, the Big Horn Motel is conveniently located only a few blocks from dining, shopping, the Jim Gatchell Museum, a free outdoor pool, hiking trails and golf. What we do offer is a clean, comfortable and affordable stay rich in hospitality.
